Bandits who recently kidnapped Sharia Court judge, Husseini Samaila, at Bauren Zakka village in Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State,
are demanding 30 million Naira ransom for his release.
This is coming eleven days after his abduction.
A source close to the family confirmed the development, saying, the bandits spoke with the judge’s wife on telephone.
According to her, the bandits who initially demanded 50 million Naira, later agreed to accept 30 million after series of bargaining.

The source also added that the bandits told Samaila’s wife that they should also purchase a phone worth 30,000 Naira, with an unspecified amount of recharge card, to call and inform them where to pick him up.
Meanwhile, suspected bandits in a fresh attack have reportedly abducted the Principal of Government Day Secondary School, Ruma, in Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The Principal, Sani Sa’idu, was reportedly kidnapped on Friday, after school hours, while returning home, along the Ruma – Batsari Road.
The victim’s motorcycle was later recovered on the roadside.
