Aruwan said he received a distress call at 8:30 pm on Tuesday, that gunmen, identified to be bandits, have laid siege on the school.

Unfortunately, before the military could get to the scene, the bandits had killed a staff and abducted an unspecified number of students at the institution.

The Kaduna State Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs said that the government is not losing sleep, as the military is on top of the situation.

Greenfield University, Kaduna, is located along kilometre 34, on the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway, at Kasarmi village and began operation in the 2018/2019 academic session, with two faculties and fifteen courses.

Meanwhile, the abduction of the students at Greenfield University is happening less than two months, after 39 students were kidnapped from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka in Kaduna State.
