At least two staff of Kaura Namoda Polytechnic in Zamfara state were killed when suspected bandits attacked the low-cost area of the Kaura Namoda community.
The suspected bandits were said to have stormed the low-cost area at about 3 am on Wednesday and jumped into the residence of Usama Nazifi, a 39-year-old man. He refused to open his door as ordered by the bandits.

According to an eyewitness, Nazifi thought the unknown gunmen had left the area and went to meet his neighbour, Bashir Muhammad. The duo was discussing outside their premised when the Bandits opened fire, killing both of them.
The rector of the Kaura Namoda Federal Polytechnic, Yahaya Bande described the dastardly act as barbaric and unfortunate.
The Zamfara State Police Command through its spokesperson, Mohammed Shehu, confirmed that two people were killed in Kaura Namoda community.
