The Police in Katsina State, has confirmed an early morning fresh attack by bandits, on the Dan-Kumeji Village in the Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State on Friday.
The spokesman of the command, Superintendent of Police Gambo Isah, in a telephone conversation with ait.live said that , six people were killed in the attack.
According to Isah, “it is true the attack took place and six people were killed, but our operatives are there and are on top of the situation.”
But a local in the area gave a different figure of eleven persons killed, while 6 others sustained injuries and are presently receiving treatments.

According to the local, the bandits stormed the village a few minutes to midnight and operated for about two hours.
They also laid ambush for some of the residents who attempted to escape, thus killing and injuring some in the process.
