Baptist Men’s Convention gives Delta Gov Oborevwori thumbs-up

Delta state governor Sheriff Oborevwori has received plaudits from the Nigerian Baptist Men’s Convention Union (MMU) for what was described as his numerous infrastructural and human capital development initiatives in the state during his first year in office.

Soye Asawo the National President of the Men’s Missionary Union (MMU), the ministry arm gave the commendation during a courtesy visit on the governor where he also acknowledged Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to the Christian faith in the face of challenges.

Asawo reminded Nigerian leaders that power is transient and posterity will reward all leaders according to their deeds.either for good or for bad including the present Nigerian leaders especially at such a time the country is undergoing it’s trying moments.

He said the choice of Asaba for this year’s 44th annual convention was based on the state’s peaceful disposition, hospitality and availability of infrastructure.

Governor Oborevwori who commended the (MMU) for the choice of the state for their convention said his government was able to achieve appreciable developments in the face of the present economic downturn due to the prayers of spiritual fathers in and around the state.

A session of special prayers for the state was heby the visiting MMU delegation.
