The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Bauchi State chapter, has reacted to the rumours that Christians in Bauchi have tagged the COVID-19 vaccine exercise as Antichrist.

The Secretary of the Association, Reverend Wakili Mathew, made this known in Bauchi, the state capital.

The denial came barely three weeks after the State Governor, Bala Mohammed, while receiving his second dose of the vaccine, expressed dismay over the noncompliance, shown by the Christian community in the state.

The Christian Association of Nigeria, through its Secretary, have frowned at the said rumour.

CAN said there has been no point in time when they were consulted for any official meeting at the state level on COVID-19 awareness.

It has, however, called on all Christians to come out and be vaccinated.
