In an effort to boost commercial activities and bring ease of doing business in the Bauchi State for economic growth and development, Governor Bala Mohammed has assured of timely completion of the Azare Ultra-Modern Market.

Governor Mohammed gave the assurance when he paid an inspection visit to the market construction site in Azare town, Katagum local government area.

Azare town, the headquarters of Katagum local government area is the second largest in Bauchi State with high economic and commercial activities in the area.

The development prompted the State Government to rebuild the Azare Market after it was gutted by fire some years back as the contractor highlights some of the challenges that caused the delay in timely completion of the project.

The Governor had earlier paid homage on the Emir of Katagum, HRH Umar Faruq II who appreciated him for the execution of various developmental projects across the state.

The Governor and his entourage also inspected renovation work on the NYSC Orientation Camp in Wailo village in Ganjuwa local government area which was in a dilapidated state. The State Government had intervened with the award of contract for total renovation and upgrade of the facilities for the comfort of youth corps members posted to Bauchi State.

Governor Mohammed said he is highly overwhelmed with the level of the project so far executed calling for its timely completion.
