Bauchi Gov. Bala Mohammed Partners Portuguese Govt To Invest In Energy

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, says his administration is determined to collaborate and Partner with the Portuguese government, to invest in energy, agriculture, commerce, and industries, among others, for economic growth and development of the state.

The governor said this when he received the Portuguese ambassador to Nigeria at the Government House in Bauchi State, Northeast Nigeria.

The Portuguese Ambassador to Nigeria, Martins Santos Paulo, said the aim of the visit was to renew the long-existing partnership between the governments of Portugal and Nigeria, and to go around the state to identify areas of opportunity, for effective collaboration and partnership, as Bauchi State is blessed with abundant investment opportunities, including infrastructure, energy and agriculture, among others, for economic benefits of both parties.

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed commended the Portuguese ambassador for defying all odds to visit the state.

Governor Bala Mohammed explained that Bauchi State and Portugal have many things in common, especially tourism and fertile land among others.

He requested the Portuguese government to invest in those areas.

The Governor assured his visitor of safe and secured investment environment, for sustainable economic growth and development.

Governor Bala Mohammed also informed the Portuguese ambassador that Bauchi State would soon have an investment summit, calling on them to take full advantage of the proposed economic event.
