Bauchi State government is set to commence Community Active Case Search (Community Testing) for COVID-19 infection in three Local Government Areas of Bauchi, Kirfi and Bogoro.
Governor Bala Mohammed said this during the flag off of the distribution of 700,000 specialized face masks to various groups of people across the state.
The governor, represented by his deputy, Baba Tela says, the distribution of the face masks is an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Aliyu Maigoro stresses the importance of social distancing, hand washing and the use of face mask, especially in public places.
The Chairman of the Palliative Committee who is also the Emir of Bauchi, Rilwanu Adamu, commends the government for providing the face masks.
He assures that it will be judiciously distributed to all the targeted people.

With the distribution of the face masks, residents of the state are expected to adhere strictly, or face a fine of five thousand Naira.
