Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has described the death of the first civilian governor of Lagos State, Lateef Kayode Akande as a monumental loss to Nigeria and the media industry.
The Governor in his condolence message to the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo- Olu, signed by the Special Assistant on Media, Mukhtar Gidado, conveyed the deepest condolences of the government and people of Bauchi State over the demise of the veteran journalist.
He said Jakande was a nationalist, a political icon, and an acclaimed champion of social justice.
He said these sterling qualities will forever remain in the hearts of the people.

Governor Bala Mohammed prayed that the Almighty Allah will bless him with Aljanna Firdaus.
