Bauchi Healthcare: Governor Bala Mohammed To Upgrade State’s Specialist Hospital

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has directed the total upgrade of the Bauchi State Specialist Hospital, to enhance effective health care service delivery to the people.

The governor gave the directive during his facility inspection tour at the specialist hospital in Bauchi State, North-East Nigeria.

The Governor and other top government officials were at the Bauchi State Specialist Hospital, to inspect the hospital’s facilities and structures, with a view to ascertaining their present condition, in the areas of manpower, equipment and structure in the hospital.

Governor Bala Mohammed, while addressing journalists after the inspection, said his experience was an eyesore, and that a contract would be awarded for the total upgrade of the entire facility, for effective service delivery.

Bala Mohammed enumerates some of the hospitals and other facilities to be used, pending the completion of the renovation. 

Governor Bala Mohammed added that, before his visit, a committee was sent to take a complete inventory of the hospital’s needs, and that the submission forwarded to him couldn’t cover the work.

The governor and his entourage proceeded to the NYSC Orientation Camp, Wailo, for another inspection, as he promised to renovate some of the identified facilities for conducive camping of corps members posted to Bauchi State.

On her part, the state’s NYSC Coordinator, Rifkatu Yakubu, appreciated the governor for the concerns shown.
