Former Nigerian president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has commissioned a multi-million-Naira modern International Conference Centre in Bauchi.
The project is part of Governor Bala Mohammed’s Urban Renewal Projects, aimed at building a new and modern Bauchi State.
The International Conference Centre, named after the late Premier of Northern Nigeria, Sir Ahmadu Bello,p Sardauna of Sokoto, stands as one of the legacy projects of Governor Bala Mohammed.

The edifice, built to international standard, is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including ICT-driven gadgets, to serve both government and commercial purposes.
Governor Bala Mohammed said the project reflects his vision to place Bauchi State on the global map of development and investment.
Commissioning the project, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, commended Governor Bala Mohammed, for initiating such a developmental project, which he said would help harness the state’s economic potential, and create job opportunities for the teeming unemployed population.
Upon commissioning, the edifice was immediately put to use, as local and international investors, captains of industries, and other stakeholders, converged for the maiden Bauchi State Economic and Investment Summit.
The summit, declared open by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu—represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, aims to align with the Federal Government’s agenda of translating macro-economic recovery into tangible improvements in citizens’ daily lives.

Other speakers, including international investors, applauded the initiative, and assured of their maximum cooperation to invest in the state, for mutual benefit and sustainable growth.
The summit has as its theme, “Rebuilding a resilient economy; optimizing investment and partnership.”
