Bauchi State Government has warned the local government chairmen and traditional leaders, to desist from the illegal sale and allocation of land to strangers coming into the state.
Governor Bala Mohammed sounded the warning, during the launch of the Kaura Economic Empowerment Programme, in Shira and Giade Local Government Areas.

The state blessed with a large number of soil deposits and a large percentage of geographical land with high soil fertility, the Governor laments that some local council chairmen and traditional leaders have been engaged in the sale of land to unknown persons.
According to him, it poses danger to the security and peace of the state, considering the security challenges being faced by the country.
He enjoined the citizens to be security-conscious and support the developmental strides of his administration.
Governor Bala Mohammed also thanked the state’s House Of Assembly, for coming up with a bill, to establish a special security infrastructure, that will help in tackling crime and criminality in the state, to help investors to have enabling environment to invest in job creation and development.
The governor assured the residents that his administration will continue to fight idleness among the teeming unemployed citizens, by providing empowerment support, that will enable them to become self-reliant.
