In a bid to address the issues of insecurity in the state, Bauchi state governor Bala Mohammed has directed the arrest and prosecution of bandits and their collaborators across the state.
The governor gave the order when he visited some of the affected communities in Alkaleri local government area of Bauchi.
Alkaleri is one of the local government area of Bauchi state that is witnessing some pockets of attacks and abductions that led to killings and serious injuries of inocent people by men of the under world and the incident prompted the visit by governor Bala Mohammed to symphatize with the victims.
While expressing his displeasure over the alleged involvement of some traditional leaders and security personnel, Governor Bala Mohammed enjoined the citizens not to surender to bandits as he ordered the prosecution of any person found to be collaborating with bandits.

Speaking on behalf of the security agencies, Bauchi state commissioner of Police Umar Sanda urged residents to be more vigilant by assisting the security agents with useful information on activities of men of the underworld to enable them take prompt action.
Governor Bala Mohammed was accompanied on the sympathy visit by all the heads of security agencies in the state, where he called for new strategies to tackle security challenges in the state.
