A member of the Bauchi State House of Assembly who is also the Chairman House Committee on Forestry, Musa Nakwada, has advised the Federal Government to encourage hybrid banana farming, as well as other economic tree plantings.
He said it would align with the Federal Government’s economic diversification process through agriculture.
He gave the advice when he was addressing his constituents in Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State in North East Nigeria.
Worried by the rate of unemployment which is on the increase on a daily basis in Nigeria, Musa Nakwada said, there is the need to change the narrative.
