The Chairman Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission, BASIEC, Dahiru Tata, has assured residents of the state that the commission is will conduct a council poll in the state.
Tata gave the assurance during a workshop for the organised to train Electoral and Administrative Officers ahead of the elections.
The Electoral and Administrative Officers are drawn from the 20 local government areas and are also saddled with the responsibility of screening the councilors at the ward level.
According to the Chairman, only 18 political parties will participate in the election.

The flag-off for campaigns is expected to begin in two days after the completion of the workshop for the electoral officers.
