As part of efforts to combat crime and enhance public safety to drive economic growth and development, the Bauchi State Police Command has implemented a blend of traditional practices and scientific methodologies in its crime prevention strategies.
The State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Auwal, disclosed this during the end-of-year Media briefing held at the Bauchi State Police Command Headquarters.
The briefing featured a display of recovered items, including firearms, live ammunition, and tricycles, showcasing the operational successes of the Bauchi State Police Command in the year 2024.
Addressing the Press, CP Auwal outlined the command’s achievements, attributing them to effective crime prevention strategies, community policing initiatives, and collaboration with other security agencies operating in the State.
In his commitment to accountability and transparent service delivery, the Bauchi State Police Command helmsman noted that the management team has actively addressed instances of professional misconduct among police personnel within the State Command while reaffirming the Command’s dedication to maintaining peace and security in Bauchi State.
The Commissioner of Police, however, appealed to the public to continue providing timely and accurate information to law enforcement agencies.
He emphasized that combating crime is a shared responsibility, which underscores the need for collaboration and collective determination to ensure a safer and more secure environment for all citizens.
