Bauchi Security: Police Arrest suspected killers of 20 year old Hotel security Guard for alleged theft

The Bauchi State Police Command says four suspects have been arrested over an alleged murder of 20 year old Hotel Security Guard, Polmi Dauda in Bauchi for alleged theft.

According to the Police spokesperson, Ahmed Wakili, the victim’s brother Dhnda Dauda On March 22, 2025 reported that Polmi had sustained serious injuries due to an altercation with several individuals at a location adjacent to Larema Hotel, where he worked.

According to Police, the victim was rushed to Abubakar Tafawa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi for medical attention where he was certified dead by Medical Personnel shortly after arrival at the facility.

Police said Preliminary investigations suggest that, the altercation may have stemmed from an allegation of theft involving clothing and personal items belonging to a tenant.

The suspects arrested by the Police for the alleged killing of Polmi Dauda are identified as Ibrahim Yahaya, a Pharmacist at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital Bauchi (ATBUTH), Musa Awwal, a Medical Doctor at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital Bauchi;(ATBUTH), Imrana Ibrahim, a Local Businessman; and Zakariya’u Isah, another Security Guard. They are believed to have conspired to confront Polmi, leading to the regrettable outcome.

In light of this incident, Police said the suspects are in Police custody and are providing critical information to assist in the ongoing investigation.

Meanwhile the deceased’s body has been deposited for postmortem examination at the ATBUTH mortuary.
