Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency has flagged off Yellow Fever vaccination exercise across the 19 Local Government Areas of the State.
According to the Chairman of Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Rilwan Muhammed, the State has about 6.4 million Yellow Fever vaccine in store and still expects more.
Bauchi State is among the most hit by the Yellow Fever outbreak, with over ten deaths in Ganjuwa Local Government Area; explaining the emphasis on vaccination across all the Local Government Area.
Muhammed encouraged the residents to come out for the vaccination and disregard the report that the vaccine is for COVID 19.

Also speaking, the Village Head of Turwun cleared the misconception of the people who think that the vaccine is for COVID 19.
He however called on the government to ensure the vaccine reaches people in remote parts of the State.
According to State Health Officials, only people who are 9 months and above will be vaccinated.
