Bauchi State Government has announced the sudden death of Acting Chairman of Shira Local Government Area, Wali Tumfafi.
In a statement signed by Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, the government said Tumfafi passed away at the Federal Medical Centre in Azare on Sunday following a brief illness.
Governor Bala Mohammed, on behalf of the government and people of Bauchi State, extended deepest condolences to Tumfafi’s family, the Katagum Emirate Council, and the entire state.
The Governor described the late Acting Chairman as a committed public servant whose contributions to Shira Local Government’s development will be fondly remembered.

The Bauchi State Government urges well-wishers and sympathizers to keep the bereaved family in their prayers during this difficult moment.
Meanwhile, Tumfafi’s funeral prayer is scheduled for 10:30 am today Monday, May twelfth 2025 at the late Alkali Musa’s residence in Azare.
