Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has assured of his administration’s readiness to do justice in implementation of the report on the actualisation of the Sayawa Chiefdom.
The Governor made the commitment when he received the Committee’s report on the creation of Sayawa Chiefdom.
It would be recalled that on December 17 last year, Governor Mohammed inaugurated a committee saddled with the responsibility to review and recommend the implementation of the reports of Justice Babalakin, Shehu Awak and Justice Bala Umar Committees on the creation of Sayawa Chiefdom. He said this was aimed at bringing lasting peace and stability in the area, that has been witnessing lingering crisis, affected socio-economic development.
The Committee chaired by Ambassador Dada Chinade, submitted the reports with its recommendations, which among others include, for the State Government to identify the headquarters of the proposed Sayawa Chiefdom, as well as the eligibility of persons to be appointed for the proposed chiefdom and the Chief.

Governor Mohammed said his administration remains committed to addressing the lingering Sayawa crisis, as well as the issue of Sayawa Chiefdom, and that the government will ensure that justice and fair play is done to all the parties involved.
Mohammed, enjoined the affected communities to have confidence in his administration, as he remains committed to resolving the issues through stakeholders’ engagement.
