Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has called on local vigilante groups to intensify their efforts in the fight against insecurity the state.
The governor made the call during the official presentation of one Hilux and eight motorcycles to members of the Hunters’ Group in Duguri community of Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State, North-East Nigeria.

While presenting the vehicles procured by the Chairman of Alkaleri Local Government Area, Garba Bajama, Governor Bala Mohammed said the gesture was part of his administration’s efforts to strengthen the state’s security architecture.
The governor commended the Chairman of Alkaleri Local Government Area and other stakeholders for their commitment to improving security, and reaffirmed his government’s resolve to continue supporting local security outfits in promoting peace and safety across the state.

He therefore urged the Hunters’ Group to ensure the proper and responsible use of the vehicles strictly for safeguarding lives and property within the targeted communities.
