Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has extended his heartfelt condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of the four staff of the State Urban Water and Sewarage Corporation who lost their lives while carrying out their routine maintenance work at the Gubi Dam Water Treatment Plant in Bauchi.
The Governor expressed this in a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.
He described them as hardworking and committed public servants who died in the line of duty while contributing to the essential task of ensuring water supply to the people of Bauchi State.
Governor Mohammed said their sacrifice and service to humanity will never be forgotten, and that their legacy will continue to inspire all those working tirelessly to build a better Bauchi State.

The statement added that the State Government has stressed the urgent need for heightened safety measures and strict adherence to established protocols in all government and industrial operations.
It said the state government has therefore called on all public institutions and workers across the state to place safety as a top priority during official duties inorder to prevent future occurrences.
The State Government also directed a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and assured to take all necessary steps to support the bereaved families and enhance workplace safety across all departments.
