The leadership of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly has assured people in the State of qualitative legislation that will positively impact the citizenry in the days ahead.
Speaker Abraham Ingobore and some principal members of the House gave the assurance at the expiration of a four-day Special Retreat in Asaba, Delta State, organised to improve the capacity of lawmakers in the 6th Bayelsa State Assembly.
The need for constant upgrading of knowledge, particularly in the mentally demanding business of lawmaking is an exercise which can never be downplayed.
After participating in a four-day intensive Special Retreat Programme aimed at improving their parliamentary competencies at Asaba, Delta State, Members of the Bayelsa State Assembly, including Speaker said they have gained fresh insights into the business of lawmaking.

The Chairman of the House Committee Chairman on Information, Tare Porri, and other legislators described the retreat as very impactful and thanked the Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri for making the programme possible.
The four-day retreat featured intensive lectures on global standard legislative practices, budgeting, oversight responsibilities and many more.
