The Federal Character Commission should be seen as a veritable tool in unifying the nation through the Equitable distribution of Employment, Political Appointments and infrastructure across the federating states.
Bayelsa state Governor, Senator Douye Diri, made this submission when he hosted a delegation from the Federal Character Commission, FCC, led by its Executive Chairman, Muheeba Dankaka, in government House Yenagoa.
Governor Diri, also lamented what he described as an unfair treatment of the state by the commission over the years, noting that the state has often been short changed in several capacities.

Responding, Muheeba Dankaka said that the commission is working with the various Ministries, Departments, Agencies, MDAs and Sections, to effectively ensure a fair deal and representation.
