Bayelsa Governor’s Cup: Agbere, Odioma, Anyamah, Ogbia, Qualify For Semi Finals

Agbere Football Club of Sagbama Council Area and Odioma FC of Brass Local Government Area are the latest teams to Qualify for the Semi Final Stage of this Year’s edition of the Bayelsa State Governor’s Cup which is tagged “Prosperity Cup”.

During the First Quarter- Final Match Played on Tuesday at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex in Yenagoa, Odioma FC knocked out Peretorugbene FC 3- 1 on Penalty kicks after a one- one draw in full time.

In the second Quarter Final game Played at the same venue, Agbere Fc Of Sagbama Council Area trashed Amasoma FC of Southern Ijaw Local Government 4- 2.

Some of the Coaches who guided their teams to the Semi Finals of the Tournament spoke about their determination to win the Governor’s Cup in Bayelsa State.

Top Fotball Stakeholders in the state who watched the two Quarter Final Matches including the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor ,Daniel Alabrah, Commisioner For Lands and Housing ,Esau Andrew described the Bayelsa State Governor’s Cup as a Platform where the next generation of Nigerian Footballers could be identified.

The two Semi Final matches of the Largest Grassroots Football Competition In Nigeria will hold on Friday with Agbere Football Club taking on Eternal Grace Ministry FC while the Competition’s Favourite Odioma of Brass will tackle Anyamah FC of Ogbia
