The Bayelsa State Government says it remains committed to equipping its youths with needed vocational skills that will make them self reliant, and depend less on the limited number of white collar jobs.

Governor Douye Diri, who said this while laying the foundation of the Diri Industrial Empowerment Training Scheme Centre (DIETS) in Opolo, Yenagoa, said the project, when completed, will offer those with little or no skills a pathway to knowledge in any chosen vocation in line with the yearnings of today’s global needs.

Similarly, Governor Diri supervised b the ground breaking of the Commissioners’ Quarters project at the proposed new Yenagoa City.

The new commissioners’ quarters which will contain forty three units is expected to be completed in fifteen months.
