A seven-man panel has been appointed by the Bayelsa state government to look into lingering cases of accreditation faced by its institutions of higher learning.
Governor Douye Diri at a meeting with heads of tertiary institutions in the state on Monday in Yenagoa said the move was to safeguard the future of students and graduates of the affected institutions.

The governor also met with the leadership of various unions of the tertiary institutions on issues bothering on welfare
The last two weeks have seen Governor Diri wade into problems plaguing the tertiary institutions.
The panel, headed by Konbowei Benson has been given two weeks to carry out its findings and submit a report with recommendations on the way forward.
