Bayelsa State Government has announced that electricity will be restored to the State in the next Forty-Eight hours.
At a press briefing on Monday in government house Yenagoa, the State Government also disclosed that the state has received palliatives from the federal ministry of regional development for flood victims and vulnerable groups
Bayelsa State on July 29, 2024 was thrown into total blackout occasioned by the activities of vandals who vandalized sixteen towers along the Ahoada, River state axis and Igbogene, Bayelsa axis.

The Bayelsa State Government has continously made concerted efforts to restore power to the state.
Four months after, there appears to be some glimpse of hope as the commissioner for information, alongside critical stakeholders of the state power sector brought residents up to speed on the timeline of the restoration of power.
In another development, the information commissioner also announced the receipt of palliatives from the federal government to ameliorate the plight of victims of the 2024 flood in the state.
