Political appointees and other key actors in Bayelsa State have been charged to redouble their efforts in mobilizing the people to participate in the ongoing Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, continuous voters’ registration exercise to enable the state have a good outing in future elections.
Bayelsa Deputy Governor, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo gave the charge while presiding over this week’s Executive Council Meeting at the Government House in Yenagoa.
Ewhrudjakpo stressed the need for the people to endeavor to complete the process in the personal and collective interest of the state.

He also charged the youths to avoid being used by desperate politicians as instruments to perpetrate crime.
In a different vein, the Deputy Governor says Despite the recent declaration of “Operation Still Waters” by the military to checkmate insecurity, assured that government will not hesitate to bring the full weight of the law on anyone found culpable.
