The Bayelsa State government has increased the monthly allocation for the state’s pension scheme by two hundred million naira, to add to the existing two hundred million naira in order to offset pensions and gratuities arrears.
Governor Douye Diri who announced it at the occasion of the 2022 Workers Day commemoration this Sunday in Yenagoa also approved the payment of the 2021 promotion arrears.
The Governor says his administration will not relent in creating the enabling atmosphere and motivation for optimum productivity in the state workforce.

Leaders of organized labor applauded the Government for its policies geared towards improving the lot of workers and the state.
