Members of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly Committee on Works say they are satisfied with the quality and pace of work ongoing across the various construction sites describing it as a demonstration that funds alloted to the ministry of works and infrastructure in the state’s 2024 budget are being judiciously utilized.
They gave the commendation when the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Moses Teibowei took them on an inspection tour of the Yenagoa/Oporoma road and other project sites within the state capital.
At the Yenagoa/Oporoma road, their first port of call the commissioner led the legislators through the ongoing work on the Angiama-Oporoma bridge to the stretch of the road leading to Otuan community
Next was a visit to the expansion work being done on the Airport Road from Etegwe Junction dual carriageway, Glory drive phase 3 and the Opolo/AIT dualisation road where work is being intensified
The Legislators rounded off their oversight at the new Bayelsa Commissioners and Assembly Quarters built by the Douye Diri administration.
They expressed satisfaction and promised to look into the supplementary budget presented before them to ensure that the projects are completed on time and are of acceptable standard.
