Former Nigeria’s President, Goodluck Jonathan has described the 11th edition of the Bayelsa Thanksgiving service as unique and significant, due to the overwhelming crowd that graced the occasion despite the numerous challenges occasioned by the ravaging flood across the state.
At the Thanksgiving service in Yenagoa, Goodluck Jonathan also noted that he is optimistic that the federal government will do the needful to ease the sufferings of the people of the state who have been badly affected by the flood.
The 11th edition of the Bayelsa annual Thanksgiving service came at a time when Bayelsans are battling with the prevailing raging flood and its impacts.
But the situation could not stop these leaders and residents from coming together to thank God as a people.

The atmosphere at the state’s ecumenical center looks dazzling as the people joined their leaders, including Nigeria’s former President Goodluck Jonathan, Governor Douye Diri, former Governor Seriake Dickson, and others to thank God for another year.
The Guest speaker, Paul Enenche, in his message titled “grace and mercy of God” says the best times to praise God are during moments of difficulty.
Governor Douye Diri is elated that despite the challenges of the flood, Bayelsans are giving thanks to God as he enjoins all to exhibit love for one another.
The 11th edition of the Bayelsa annual Thanksgiving service also featured special renditions and prayers for Governor Diri and his Deputy as well as the state.
