Rivers united came from behind twice to draw level against Bendel Insurance of Benin in an NPFL match day 21 encounter at the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium to garner one point from possible six, since the second stanza commenced last weekend.
Meyuwa Oritseweyimi opened the scoring for insurance in the sixth minute of play only for Ubong Friday to restore parity via a screamer in the 34th minute.
Insurance fc went ahead again four minutes into the resumption of play following a quick break from the left flank and this time Rivers united was quick to respond 2 minutes later through a well surveyed shot by Surveyor Handsome.
While it was not a happy result for Rivers United coach, Finidi George, but his Bendel Insurance counterpart, Greg Ikhenoba, was delighted sharing the spoil.
Rivers united will be on the road to Owerri to face Heartland FC in a match day 22 encounter.
