Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has officially flagged off the distribution of relief materials to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), in the state.
During the event, at the headquarters of the State Emergency Management Agency SEMA in Makurdi the state capital. Governor Alia warned persons planning to divert the items to have a Rethink.

He said his major priority to is return the displaced persons to their homes and farmlands.
Items distributed to the camps include both food and non-food items to 14 IDP camps in Makurdi, Logo, Guma and Gwer West local councils.
