The Benue State Government has constituted a task force and fixed a fifteen thousand naira fine for waste disposal defaulters with effect from Monday 18th September 2023.
The Commissioner for Water Resources, Environment, and Climate Change, Odoh Ugwu who announced this says the measures are coming after the ban on the open disposal of waste, which is one of the major causes of flooding in the State brought about by blocked drainages.
