The Benue State Government has disclosed plans to end the era of residents travelling out of the State or country in search of treatment saying that its target of building a one stop medical hub which offers world-class healthcare services will soon be fully actualized.

Chief Medical Director of the State University Teaching Hospital Stephen Hwande made this known at the hospital in Makurdi during the unveiling of fresh set of newly acquired cutting edge equipment.

In its quest to boost health care delivery and upgrade the State university teaching hospital in Makurdi, the State capital to a one stop medical facility of international standard, the Hyacinth Alia led administration awarded the sum of 13 billion Naira Contract for the procurement of advanced medical equipment in this year’s budget, which is being delivered instalmentally.

The Chief Medical Director Stephen Hwande who officially received yet another batch of equipment says the medical facility is on course to actualize the State Government’s vision to becoming that one stop medical hub in the country.

He disclosed that the hospital has put in place an international health investment summit and scientific exhibition slated for the 16th and 17th.
