Reactions have trailed Saturday’s Local Government congress of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Benue State as some members under the group, Benue PDP Patriots insist that the exercise did not hold and should therefore be rescheduled.
The group led by former House of Representatives Speaker Pro Tempore, Terngu Tsegba are urging the National Working Committee to discard any manufactured results.
For these party members the LG Congresses just like the preceding Ward Congresses in eight LGAs across the State, did not hold. Their group is more concerned that the party’s National Working Committee failed to look into the outstanding issues and went ahead to conduct the Local Government congresses.
They therefore want the Local Government Congresses immediately rescheduled.
The party faithful concluded by saying that they remain loyal and law abiding members of the PDP and will remain steadfast and committed to reclaim it from the bad elements among them that are bent on breaking the party.
