The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State has dissociated itself from the recent coalition with the African Democratic Congress ADC insisting it is in no coalition with any party at the moment.

The decision was reached during the just-concluded expanded state caucus meeting in Makurdi the State capital with the Leader of the party in the State Samuel Ortom calling for the expulsion of members yet to resign who had shown support for the coalition.

The People’s Democratic Party PDP in Benue State regrouping after the recent launch of an opposition in the State.

Leader of the party and immediate past Governor of the State Samuel Ortom seemed quite unperturbed insisting that with the creme of personalities in attendance and the enthusiasm displayed by the mammoth crowd at the meeting the party is still on course to reclaim power in 2027.

Ortom who doubles as a member of the party’s board of trustees dissociates the PDP in the State from any form of coalition at the moment adding that members who are yet to resign and have openly declared for the said coalition should be expelled from the party,

Senate Minority leader Abba Moro also spoke on the coalition party which he described as a party of uncertainty.

Earlier in his opening remarks the State party chairman Ezekiel Adaji says those insinuating that the PDP is dead are daydreamers who need to wake up to the reality that the party is waxing stronger.

Representatives of the 3 senatorial districts said the party remains united and undistracted in its quest to reclaim power in the State.
