The Benue State Police command says it has arrested 7 suspects in connection with kidnapping and armed robbery across 3 local government areas of the State.
State Commissioner of Police Okoro Julius made this known at the force headquarters in Makurdi the state capital while parading the suspects.
Reports of kidnapping within Ogbadibo and Ohimini local government areas of the State led to the deployment of police teams who eventually rounded up 5 suspects who claimed to be cattle breeders in Orokam in Ogbadibo local government council.
A similar arrest was made in Tse-Agbo village, Logo local council where suspected kidnappers were intercepted and a victim was rescued.

In Gboko the police patrol team arrested a suspect who was said to have concealed arms in his bag.
The police commissioner says the command will no longer tolerate criminals bent on frustrating Police efforts.
