The new Benue State commissioner of police, Emenari Innocent has assumed duty.
This was made public in a statement by the State Police Command public relations officer, Sewuese Anene.
The statement said the CP pledged to strengthen community policing and partnerships, enhance security measures to protect lives and properties and use available resources to combat insecurity in the State.
Emenari who hails from Ekwulobia in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State is a graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Jos.

In his quest for more knowledge, he proceeded to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife where he bagged a Master of Arts degree and PhD in Literature in English.
CP Emenari who brings over three decades of policing experience to his new role has served in various operational, investigative and administrative capacities in states such as Zamfara, Imo, Katsina, Anambra, Cross River, Osun, Ogun, Abia and the Federal Capital Territory.
