The government of Germany has expressed her readiness to continue to partner with Nigeria and Benue State in particular, in the areas of security intelligence, and other relevant fields, while appreciating the country for its partnership over the years.
The German Ambassador to Nigeria, Annett Günther made the pledge during a courtesy visit to the Benue State Governor, Fr. Hyacinth Alia at the Government House, Makurdi in the North central region of Nigeria.
The Ambassador who was accompanied on the visit by the Permanent Secretary in the Nigerian Ministry of Defense, also told Governor Alia that the government of Germany was ready to support the Nigerian armed forces to secure peace for the country.
The Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Defense, Ibrahim Kana said he was in the State at the instance of the Minister of Defense.
After the courtesy visit, the team proceeded to the Nigeria Army School Of Military Engineering (NASME) barracks where they commissioned a 53 room capacity army personnel facility.
