The Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has approved a five-member Judicial Commission of Inquiry to investigate the recent disturbances in Ukum local government area.
According to a statement issued by the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice and Public Order, Fidelis Mnyim, the Governor expressed confidence in the Committee’s ability to fulfill its mandate.
The Committee, will be chaired by Samson Itodo a seasoned legal expert. Other members include Felix Iber, Timothy Atondo Ayakpam, Enyikwola Ejembi as Lead Counsel, and Ngufan Ahenjir as Secretary.
Alia emphasised their collective experience and commitment to ensuring justice and peace in the region.
