The Tiv Area Traditional Council has announced the death of a first class chief, the Tor Sankera, His Royal Highness Abu King Shuluwa. He was the Chairman of Sankera Intermediate Area Traditional Council comprising Kastina-Ala, Ukum and Logo Local Government Areas of Benue State, North-Central Nigeria.
A statement by Secretary of the Council, Shinyi Tyozua revealed that the traditional ruler passed away on Tuesday, January 16 at the Federal Medical Centre Makurdi at the age of 79. The late chief will be buried on February 10 this year in Kastina-Ala Local Government Area of the State.
Tyozua said the burial programme will be released in due course but urged members of the Tiv Area Traditional Council and the Benue State Council of Traditional Rulers to attend to pay their last respect to the revered traditional ruler.
