Benue State plans to spend 132.5 billion for 2021 financial year

The Benue State Government has proposed a total expenditure of a Hundred and Thirty Two point Five Billion Naira for the 2021 fiscal year.

State Governor Samuel Ortom presented the 2021 appropriation bill christened Budget of Resilience to legislators at the State house of Assembly complex in Makurdi the state capital.

A breakdown indicates a recurrent expenditure of 90.8 billion representing 60% of the total budget, while the capital expenditure is estimated at 41.7 billion representing 31% of the fiscal expenditure.

Across the four major sectors of the State the economic sector has the highest with law and justice recording the least.

An additional 20 billion supplementary Appropriation Bill for the 2020 fiscal year was also presented by the chief executive.
