President Muhammad Buhari has described the creation of new Emirates as a significant development in the political evolution of traditional institutions in Kano State.
The President said this at the coronation ceremony of the second Emir of Bichi, held at Bichi Emirate of Kano State.
President Muhammadu Buhari, represented by the Chief of staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, said the creation of new Emirates will assist in the preservation of cultural heritage.
Nasiru Ado Bayero, before he was appointed the second Emir of Bichi, had served as the District Head of Nassarwa and Tarauni Local Government Councils, he is also the Turaki and Ciroma of Kano.

The Second Emir of Bichi, Nasiru Bayero, is the son of the 13th Fulani Emir of Kano, late Ado Bayero, who ruled Kano for over fifty years and remained the longest-serving Emir, in the history of Kano State.
