A High Court Judge of Borno State, Northeast of Nigeria, Justice Haruna Mshelia, his wife, driver and an orderly were abducted by the Boko Haram terrorists along Biu to Maiduguri road on Monday, June 24, 2024.
Justice Mshelia was said to be traveling in his vehicle, accompanied by his driver, a security escort and his wife, when a group of armed men with guns emerged from the bush and barricaded the road as their vehicle approached a curve in the road between Burutai and Buni-gari.
The driver reportedly attempted to manoeuvre his way to escape, but unfortunately was stopped by another team of insurgents.
The terrorists were said to have taken the High Court Judge, his wife, the driver and security escort into the forest.
