The case of the Nigerian Bolt driver, Isaac Satlat murdered in South Africa has been postponed to 23 February 2026, to allow for further investigation.
The three suspects, Dikeledi Tears Phela, Gositsiane Machidi, and McClaren Mushwana, appeared briefly in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court and will remain in custody.
The male suspects are being held at SAPS Pretoria North Police Station, while Phela, the female suspect, is at Kgosi Mampuru Correctional Centre.
They’re facing charges of murder and carjacking in connection with the fatal attack on 22-year-old Nigerian national e-hailing driver, Isaac Satlat.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are still searching for a fourth suspect believed to be linked to the crime.
The killing sparked national outrage, with e-hailing drivers and supporters staging a picket outside the court, calling for stronger safety measures for drivers operating on digital platforms.
