Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara has warned the contractor handling construction of the internal roads in Bori, Khana local government area to return to site immediately and complete the project or be prepared to face the worst consequence
Speaking after he paid an unscheduled visit to the site, Governor Fubara who denied claims that his administration has abandoned the project says he has already paid seventy percent of the total sum to the project contractor who could not be found on site
The Governor paid an unscheduled visit to Khana local government area to inspect work on the construction of the internal roads in Bori, the heart of Ogoniland
The contract for the project was awarded during the final days of the immediate past administration, but no payment was made to the contractor until Governor Fubara took over the reins of power
The governor directed that the contractor return to site and deliver the project within the date stipulated in the contract or face the consequence.
Before departing Bori, Governor Sim Fubara also took time out to assure the people that his administration would do whatever it takes to complete their internal roads
