The facility is a private community-based hospital, built by a Maiduguri-based businessman, who died recently. Governor Zulum, also asked the hospital, to recruit two doctors and four nurses, to boost their staff strength, while the Borno State Government, will shoulder the monthly salaries and other entitlements of the six medical personnel, while they remain staff of the hospital.

The Governor also paid tribute to the late founder of the hospital, Tijjani Bolori whom he commended for the wonderful things he did in his lifetime. In his words, the deceased touched almost all the sectors of human capital development, including healthcare services, and education among others.

In a related development, Governor Zulum, has ordered the remodelling of the Maiduguri Eye Hospital. He has also approved the construction of new Staff Quarters, and Operation Theatre, to serve the increasing healthcare needs of the state.
